 McCracken County is included in Kentucky’s 61 counties. It is home to over 25,000 residents and has 12 jails. The Kentucky State Police (KSP) operates out of the McCracken County Detention Center (MCDC). In addition to transporting prisoners to and from court, the MCDC contracts a Resident Agent to supervise the behavior of its inmates. The resident agent must have a license to drive a prison van and issue daily reports on his work performance. A few months ago, an MCDC employee was arrested for a DUI while working for the KSP. As a result, the KSP is currently facing budget cuts.

 Under the contract with the MCDC, KSP employees are responsible for hiring, training, and supervising their own contract employees. The KSP has recently faced issues with one of its Resident Agents who was arrested for driving under the influence again. According to jail records, this employee previously had six DUI convictions and had also been previously fired by the MCDC for intoxication while working as a prisoner transport officer. In August 2018, this employee was working as a prisoner transport officer when he was arrested for driving under the influence and speeding on I-65 in Kentucky. He was stopped by state troopers on I-65 and subsequently charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. After receiving his DUI sentence, this employee ended up serving 60 days in jail before being hired by the KSP again as a contract employee in April 2019.

According to Kim Davis, spokesperson for McCracken County Court Clerk’s Office—the current contract between McCracken County Court Clerk’s Office and jail runs until 2023-24. However, she stated that if judicial officials were not satisfied with how an inmate performed after he had been released from jail, they could end their contract with that inmate’s jail at any time. Therefore, it is critical that if there are concerns about an arrestee’s behavior while he is working for your facility that you communicate those concerns clearly to your court clerk before employing them again at your facility or engaging them further through other channels such as community service or probation sentences without your court clerk’s consent or knowledge of their past behavior toward others.

 The KSP is currently facing budget cuts due to increased hiring costs associated with its new contract with McCracken County Jail. To increase efficiency under these circumstances would require fewer personnel— not more — since there are existing personnel at their disposal who could perform some of their tasks instead of new employees unfamiliar with state laws or procedures required by law enforcement agencies like the KSP itself or local law enforcement agencies they may be working for under state contracts such as those with McCracken County Jail or other county jails around Kentucky where similar incidents have occurred in recent years such as Louisville Metro Corrections where three corrections officers were recently arrested on DUI charges between 2013-15 among others like Boone County where two deputy sheriffs were recently arrested on DUIs in 2016 among many others where similar incidents have also occurred recently

 Although it appears that most state contractors like McCracken County Jail recognize that they should avoid employing individuals who have demonstrated poor judgment when dealing with people while acting within their legal authority as required by law enforcement agencies like the Kentucky State Police itself under state contracts such as those performed at McCracken County Jail;

 In light of recent events involving arrests made by concealed carriers against concealed carriers employed by Louisville Metro Corrections including two arrests made against Kenton County sheriff deputies who were later convicted of transporting alcohol onto prison property following two similar events involving arrests against Kenton County sheriff deputies made against concealed carriers employed by McCracken County Jail earlier this year when Kenton County sheriff deputies were found guilty of transporting alcohol onto prison property earlier this year; it would seem prudent for all employers across America — both public and private — including all police forces — local ,state , federal , county sheriffs ,
